Parkway Baptist Church - Who we are - Stewardship

Adults of all ages participate in a wide range of ministries, activities, Bible studies and fellowship opportunities at Parkway. The Bible study hour follows. We offer some classes roughly divided by ages, others by gender, and still others by particular interests. Every effort is made to provide enough of a range of classes so that everyone will find a place where he or she is comfortable. To find out about classes, call the church office or come to the Welcome Center (follow the signs) on Sunday morning before 9:45 a.m.

Adult Bible Study Groups

Foundation Class (B-203)
A class for all adult ages (though most are in their 40's and 50's) often following the theme of the pastor's sermons. Emphasis is on open discussion to explore the day's topic, its biblical background, and how it applies to us in today's world. Richie Stanley teaches this class.

Young Adults Class (B-202)
This class uses Scripture and contemporary teaching materials to explore relevant faith issues for young single adults and college students. Lance and Carla Wallace teach the class.

Women's Class (A-301)
A class for women of different backgrounds and marital status that combines in depth Bible study with issues particularly important to women. Class members offer Christian friendship and support to one another. Linda Jenkins teaches this class.

Couple's Class (A-302)
Bible study and fellowship for married couples in their 30's and 40's. Emphasis is placed on developing supportive friendships and a sense of community in the class. Doug Smith teaches this class.

Leonard Elliott Class (A-303)
This Sunday School class is for adults 50+ that meets for detailed, comprehensive expository reviews of books of the Bible to find its application to our daily lives. Dr. Loyd Allen teaches this class.

Covenant Class (A-304)
A class for married couples in their 20's and 30's offering Bible study, fellowship, and accountability to nurture Christian growth and discipleship and to encourage healthy Christian marriages. Jim and Linda King teach this class.

Wednesday, following the fellowship meal, adults gather to pray for members, relatives, and friends who have specific needs. Then our pastor leads in a Bible study that features group discussion and practical application of the Scriptures to our daily lives.
