The purpose of the Parkway Baptist Church Music Ministry is to offer musical experiences for preschoolers through senior adults to grow in their relationship to God, to have fellowship with other believers, and to reach unbelievers.
Worship music at Parkway Baptist Church is traditional and inclusive. During the service the congregation sings hymns, as well as contemporary choruses. The choir sings anthems, ranging in style from Bach to contemporary. Soloists and ensembles—both vocal and instrumental—offer a wide range of musical styles. Music is presented as an offering to God as the church family communicates to God and to each other about God's continuous work in our lives and praises Him for His blessings.
CHILDREN'S CHOIRS: Choirs for children in preschool through fifth grade meet every Wednesday from 6:50-7:30 PM. Qualified teachers, using the best in music education methods and materials teach children about God through music. Children's choirs present music in the worship service at least once a quarter. Also, children are encouraged to participate in worship and are given opportunities to lead in worship. |
